Job summary

The Urgent Care in Greater New Orleans seeks an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our clinical team across five walk-in locations. This role offers full-time or part-time options with meaningful autonomy, a varied case mix, and a collaborative provider network.

Responsibilities include comprehensive walk-in care for all ages, management of procedures, radiographic and lab interpretation, and development of treatment plans with timely documentation.

Qualifications

• Two years of practice as PA/NP in urgent care, emergency medicine, family or primary care.
• Current BLS/CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Active DEA registration and Louisiana prescriptive authority, or ability to obtain both.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including assessment, physical examination, diagnosis and treatment.
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies (radiographs, EKGs, labs).
• Perform urgent care procedures (laceration repair, incision & drainage, splinting, wound care).
• Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans per guidelines.
• Document encounters in EMR and ensure continuity of care across locations.
