Job summary

NextCare Urgent Care in Georgetown, Texas is seeking a Full-Time Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our urgent care team. The role offers variety, autonomy, and meaningful community impact in a fast-paced clinic with flexible scheduling and a work-life balance focus.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Texas NP or PA license.
• Board certification: FNP (ANCC or AANP) for NP or NCCPA for PA.
• Active DEA license or ability to obtain.
• Active BLS certification.
• EHR proficiency.
• Willingness to work rotating weekends and holidays.
• DOT certification or willingness to obtain (fees covered).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients in an urgent care setting.
• Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visits.
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies, including labs and imaging.
• Perform urgent care procedures such as suturing, splinting, and wound management.
• Communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions clearly.
• Document patient care accurately in the EHR.
• Code and bill services appropriately.
• Maintain productivity consistent with urgent care benchmarks.
