Job summary

MainStreet Family Care in Forest City, NC is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant to join a fast-paced urgent care team. You will provide patient-centered care across urgent, primary, telemedicine, and occupational medicine, with opportunities to lead a small team.

New grads welcome. After orientation, you will receive structured training, protocols, and ongoing mentorship to build confidence and clinical skills in a high-volume setting.

Qualifications

• Physician Assistant Board Certification required
• MSN, or higher education required (New graduate friendly!)
• Are you DOT certified or willing to become DOT certified (we cover the cost of the certification)?
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience working in EMR and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing and treating cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues
• Minor procedures (toenail removal, foreign object removal, etc.)
• Suturing
• Splinting
• General Orthopedic evaluations/management
• Review of x-rays (to be over-read by Radiologist, too)
• General Dermatology
• General eye problems
• General EKG interpretations
• Emergency management skills
• General GYN expertise
• Treating children of all ages
• Occupational medicine
• Telemedicine
