Job summary

MainStreet Family Care in Elizabeth City, NC is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant to join our fast-paced urgent care team. We offer a generous sign-on bonus, training, CME support, and a pathway to leadership as you grow your career in a patient-focused clinic.

You will treat patients across all ages with a full scope of practice, collaborating with a supportive team and using established protocols to deliver efficient care in a high-volume setting.

Qualifications

• Physician Assistant Board Certification required.
• MSN or higher education required (New graduate friendly!).
• Are you DOT certified or willing to become DOT certified (we cover the cost of the certification)?
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working in EMR and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing and treating cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues.
• Minor procedures (toenail removal, foreign object removal, etc.).
• Suturing.
• Splinting.
• General Orthopedic evaluations/management.
• Review of x-rays (to be over-read by Radiologist, too).
• General Dermatology.
• General eye problems.
• General EKG interpretations.
• Emergency management skills.
• General GYN expertise.
• Treating children of all ages.
• Occupational medicine.
• Telemedicine.
