Job summary

MainStreet Family Care is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant to join our urgent care team in Elizabeth City, NC. You will deliver patient-focused care, lead a small team, and work in a high-volume environment with support for your development.

Qualifications

• Physician Assistant Board Certification is required.
• MSN or higher education is preferred.
• DOT certification or willingness to obtain (we cover the cost).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with EMR and Microsoft Office is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat common urgent care conditions within the PA scope.
• Perform minor procedures (toe/nail removal, foreign object removal).
• Suturing and wound care as needed.
• Splinting and general orthopedic evaluations/management.
• Review of X-rays with radiologist over-read.
• Provide general dermatology and eye care.
• Interpret general EKGs and manage emergencies.
• Provide GYN care within scope and treat patients of all ages.
• Perform occupational medicine tasks and offer telemedicine when appropriate.
