Job summary

NextCare is seeking an Urgent Care Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner for our Alice, TX clinic. This part-time position offers flexibility with 12-hour shifts and a schedule that covers evenings and weekends as needed.

You'll evaluate and treat a broad patient population in a fast-paced urgent care setting, supported by a collaborative clinical team and clear guidelines. A DEA license, NCCPA/ANCC/AANP certification, and active BLS are required.

Qualifications

• National board certification or eligibility
• Active DEA license
• Active BLS certification
• Willingness to work weekends/holidays
• DOT certification or willingness to obtain

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients in urgent care
• Manage acute illnesses and injuries
• Order and interpret labs and imaging
• Perform urgent care procedures (suturing, wound care)
• Communicate diagnoses and discharge instructions
• Document in EHR and code/bill services
• Maintain productivity per urgent care benchmarks
• Adhere to clinical standards and values
