NextCare in Cedar Park, TX is seeking a Full-Time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our urgent care team. The role offers clinical autonomy in a fast-paced environment with a supportive leadership and clear guidelines.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Texas license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• Minimum of 1 year of post-graduate clinical experience.
• NPs must be ANCC/AANP Family NP certified; PAs must hold NCCPA certification.
• Active DEA license or ability to obtain.
• Willingness to work rotating weekends and holidays.
• DOT certification required or willingness to obtain; fees covered.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in an urgent care setting.
• Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visits.
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies, including labs and imaging.
• Perform urgent care procedures such as suturing, wound care, splinting, and I&D.
• Communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
• Document patient care accurately in the EHR; code and bill services.
• Maintain productivity consistent with urgent care benchmarks.
• Practice in alignment with NextCare clinical standards and values.
