Job summary

UMass Memorial Health Oxford Urgent Care seeks a licensed nurse to join our team. You will perform comprehensive patient assessments, document care, and develop educational plans for patients and families aligned with physician orders.

The role requires 2+ years nursing experience, MA LPN/RN licensure, and the ability to work independently. Scheduling includes 24-hour periods with day shifts and possible weekend coverage; signing bonus may be offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current MA licensure as LPN or RN.
• Minimum of 2 years' nursing experience.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of nursing procedures and practices.
• Knowledge of office and laboratory procedures.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and EHR.

Responsibilities

• Completes patient physical assessment and documents patient care.
• Develops and implements an educational plan for patient/family.
• Completes patient care tasks and assists physicians with procedures.
• Triages phone calls and follows up as needed.
• Administers vaccines and medications as prescribed; performs venipuncture and testing.
• Maintains sterile techniques and equipment; supports clinical staff.
