Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is hiring nursing staff for Oxford Urgent Care in Massachusetts. This role involves patient assessment, treatment documentation, and education planning under physician direction.

Responsibilities include triaging calls, performing vital signs, venipuncture, immunizations, and assisting with procedures. Candidates should have MA LPN or RN licensure, at least 2 years of experience, and strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current licensure in the State of Massachusetts as LPN or RN.
• BLS Certification preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience as an LPN or RN.
• Ability to work independently and lead a group of employees.
• Knowledge of nursing procedures and practices.
• Knowledge of office and laboratory procedures.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic health records.
• Excellent oral and written communication; strong organization.
• Ability to relate well with patients and team members.
• Ability to stay calm under stress and in emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Trains and provides direction to clinical staff.
• Triages phone calls and follows up appropriately.
• Performs vital signs and assists physicians with procedures.
• Performs venipuncture, immunizations, and IV administration.
• Responds to emergencies with appropriate nursing interventions.
• Promotes positive public relations and professionalism within the office.
