Job summary

Wilmington Health in Leland, NC is seeking an Urgent Care NP or PA to join our fast-paced, patient-centered urgent care team. Clinic hours 8:00 am–8:00 pm; PRN to full-time opportunities, serving Wilmington, Leland and Jacksonville communities.

You will diagnose and treat acute illnesses and injuries, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, maintain medical records, and contribute to quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Current NP or PA certification and active North Carolina license (or eligibility).
• Minimum 1 year of experience in an urgent care setting as a practicing provider.
• Strong clinical assessment skills and commitment to patient-centered care.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, patient-focused urgent care to individuals and families.
• Perform assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans for acute and chronic conditions.
• Educate patients on preventive care, wellness, and healthy lifestyle choices.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to deliver coordinated care.

As an Urgent Care Nurse Pratitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA), you’ll be a key member of our fast-paced, team-oriented urgent care setting—providing compassionate, high-quality care to patients of all ages. You'll diagnose and treat acute illnesses, minor injuries, and urgent medical concerns, all while ensuring an exceptional patient experience. Clinic hours are 800a-800p. We're growing and have opportunities to work PRN to full-time-check us out!
