Job summary

AMN Healthcare is seeking an Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for locum tenens support in Virginia. Start ASAP with day shifts, 8a-8p, 3 days per week, credentialing 60-90 days. Pay rate ranges from $82.45 to $89.25 per hour.

Work is outpatient urgent care with duties including laceration repair, I&D, foreign body removal, minor burn care, and orthopedic injury stabilization. Diagnostic testing and X-ray/ECG interpretation are required.

Qualifications

• Credentialing timeframe: 60-90 days
• Locum tenens urgent care for 3 days/week, 8a-8p

Responsibilities

• Laceration repair: simple to complex suturing or stapling
• Incision and drainage (I&D) including packing
• Foreign body removal, minor burn management, skin lesion care
• Orthopedic & injury stabilization, splinting & casting, joint reduction

This facility is seeking Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Urgent Care for locum tenens support as they look to fill a current need.

Details and requirements for this opportunity:

• Schedule: 3 days/week as soon as credentialed until perm is hired: 8a-8p
• Patients per day: patient population is birth to death and can vary from clinic to clinic, day by day
• Practice Setting: Outpatient
• Scope: Laceration Repair: Simple, intermediate, and complex suturing or stapling, Incision and drainage (I&D): including packing, Foreign Body Removal, Minor Burn Management, Skin Lesion Care, Orthopedic & Injury Stabilization, Splinting & Casting, Joint Reduction, Diagnostic & Point-of-Care Testing, X-Ray Interpretation, Electrocardiogram (EKG)
• State Licensure: VA license required
• Credentialing timeframe: 60-90 days
