Job summary

AMN Healthcare is seeking an Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for locum tenens coverage in Virginia (Glen Allen). Start date ASAP. Schedule: 3 days per week, 8:00 AM–8:00 PM.

Outpatient urgent care with a broad scope including laceration repair, I&D, orthopedics stabilization, ECG interpretation, and X-ray review. VA license required; credentialing typically 60–90 days. Compensation is $82.45–$89.25 per hour, with AMN arranging travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance.

This facility is seeking Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant Urgent Care for locum tenens support as they look to fill a current need.

Details and requirements for this opportunity:

• Schedule: 3 days/week as soon as credentialed until perm is hired: 8A-8P
• Patients per day: patient population is birth to death and can vary from clinic to clinic, day by day
• Practice Setting: Outpatient
• Scope: Laceration Repair: Simple, intermediate, and complex suturing or stapling, Incision and drainage (I&D): including packing, Foreign Body Removal, Minor Burn Management, Skin Lesion Care, Orthopedic & Injury Stabilization, Splinting & Casting, Joint Reduction, Diagnostic & Point-of-Care Testing, X-Ray Interpretation, Electrocardiogram (EKG)
• State Licensure: VA License required
• Credentialing timeframe: 60-90 days
