Job summary

Confidential is seeking an Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for locum tenens coverage in Richmond, VA. The assignment runs 3 days per week, 8a–8p, with credentialing 60–90 days and a start date ASAP.

Pay rate ranges from $82.45 to $89.25 per hour. Candidates must hold VA licensure and be able to work in an outpatient urgent care setting with capabilities in laceration repair, I&D, minor procedures, X-ray interpretation, and ECG.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide urgent care services to a broad patient population.
• Perform laceration repair and minor procedures as needed.
• Interpret X-rays and perform point-of-care testing.
• Manage patients from birth to elderly in outpatient setting.

This facility is seeking Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Urgent Care for locum tenens support as they look to fill a current need.

Details and requirements for this opportunity:

• Schedule: 3 days/week as soon as credentialed until perm is hired: 8a-8p
• Patients per day: patient population is birth to death and can vary from clinic to clinic, day by day
• Practice Setting: Outpatient
• Scope: Laceration Repair: Simple, intermediate, and complex suturing or stapling, Incision and drainage (I&D): including packing, Foreign Body Removal, Minor Burn Management, Skin Lesion Care, Orthopedic & Injury Stabilization, Splinting & Casting, Joint Reduction, Diagnostic & Point-of-Care Testing, X-Ray Interpretation, Electrocardiogram (EKG)
• State Licensure: VA license required
• Credentialing timeframe: 60-90 days
