Job summary

AMN Healthcare is assisting a facility in Richmond, VA, by sourcing an Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for locum tenens support. The assignment runs 3 days per week, 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, with credentialing anticipated to 60–90 days and immediate StartDate: ASAP.

Candidates must hold VA licensure and be prepared to provide coverage across outpatient urgent care, including suturing, I&D, splinting, X-ray interpretation, and EKGs.

Responsibilities

• Schedule: 3 days/week, 8a-8p, as credentialed until perm is hired
• Scope: Urgent Care procedures including laceration repair, I&D, foreign body removal, skin lesion care, orthopedic & injury stabilization, splinting & casting, joint reduction, diagnostic testing, EKG interpretation

This facility is seeking Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Urgent Care for locum tenens support as they look to fill a current need.

Details and requirements for this opportunity:

• Schedule: 3 days/week as soon as credentialed until perm is hired: 8a-8p
• Patients per day: patient population is birth to death and can vary from clinic to clinic, day by day
• Practice Setting: Outpatient
• Scope: Laceration Repair: Simple, intermediate, and complex suturing or stapling, Incision and drainage (I&D): including packing, Foreign Body Removal, Minor Burn Management, Skin Lesion Care, Orthopedic & Injury Stabilization, Splinting & Casting, Joint Reduction, Diagnostic & Point-of-Care Testing, X-Ray Interpretation, Electrocardiogram (EKG)
• State Licensure: VA license required
• Credentialing timeframe: 60-90 days
