Job summary

Kaiser Permanente seeks a Nurse Practitioner to assess patients in the designated service, conduct exams, and collaborate with the care team to ensure smooth, high-quality patient care. The NP reports to the Chief of the service and the Department Manager.

Responsibilities include age-appropriate assessments, data collection, and coordination with physicians and other clinicians to meet quality indicators and patient needs. Requires California RN and NP certifications and credentialing.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months experience as a nurse practitioner.
• Two years (within past three years) experience as an NP in emergency department or urgent care.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients with focused history and physical examinations.
• Consult with supervising physician and other clinicians as needed.
• Coordinate patient care with medical records, services, and departments.
• Ensure safety, confidentiality, and risk management in patient care.
• Contribute to unit/department performance improvement and staff development.
