Job summary

Unified Women’s Healthcare is seeking a Full Time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for Urgent Care Associates of Erie at 2861 West 26th Street. You will conduct exams, document health history, and manage 20–40 patients daily with 12‑hour shift blocks.

You’ll prescribe medications, order tests, and perform procedures like suturing, I&D, and splinting while collaborating with two physicians and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• NP/PA certification and active licensure in the state
• Current DEA license or ability to obtain
• CPR, BLS, and NALS certifications up to date
• Experience in urgent care or ER preferred but new grads may be considered

Responsibilities

• Perform patient exams, screenings, treatments, and record health history
• Manage 20-40 patient load per day
• Work 12–13 twelve‑hour shifts per month
• Prescribe medications and therapies; order/perform/interpret tests and procedures
• Perform suturing, I&D, splinting, foreign body removal
• Assist two physicians to deliver patient care
• Collaborate with a licensed medical team and staff

Our affiliated practice, Urgent Care Associates of Erie, is seeking a Full Time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. Located at 2861 West 26th Street, we offer walk-in urgent care services for less-serious, non-life-threatening medical issues that should be treated within 24 hours.

Position Highlights

• Perform patient exams, screenings, treatments, and record patient health history
• Patient load: 20-40 patients/day
• Schedule: 12-13 Twelve (12) hour shifts per month
• Prescribe medications, therapies; order/perform and interpret diagnostic testing and procedures
• Procedures include: Suturing, I&D, Splinting, foreign body removal
• Assist and work closely with two physicians to provide patient care
• Fully licensed medical team and support staff

Requirements

• National Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant certification or ability to obtain
• Unrestricted, active licensure in the State or ability to obtain
• Current Unrestricted DEA License or ability to obtain
• CPR, BLS, and NALS Certification or ability to obtain
• Proficient in assessment and development of treatment plans
• Ability to communicate with patients, team members and management staff
• Ability to make care decisions based on the best medical practices without direct supervision or guidance by a physician
• One year of full-time experience in an Urgent Care or ER preferred, however new grads may be considered
