Job summary

American Family Care (AFC) is seeking a Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our urgent care team. You will provide patient-centered care in a fast-paced outpatient setting, diagnose and treat a range of injuries and illnesses, perform minor procedures, and collaborate with supervising physicians to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active state NP/PA license (ANCC/AANP or NCCPA).
• 2+ years in urgent care, family medicine, or emergency care.
• BLS certification active or obtainable during onboarding.
• Excellent communication and patient-centered approach.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients in urgent care.
• Manage acute conditions, infections, and injuries.
• Perform minor procedures (suturing, splinting, I&D).
• Conduct DOT and employment physicals.
• Order and interpret labs, X-rays, EKGs.
• Counsel on care plans and preventive health.
