Job summary

Prisma Health Urgent Care seeks gifted Advanced Practice Providers (PA-C or FNP-C/BC) dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care. The role emphasizes collaboration with center physicians, strong documentation, and ongoing professional development.

The team offers FT (30 or 36 hours) and PT (24 hours) schedules, with no PRN options and not hiring new graduates. Benefits start at 30 hours weekly, including malpractice coverage and a solid bonus plan.

Qualifications

• Current and valid license to practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C or FNP-BC) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) in South Carolina.
• Advanced degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Current DEA registration.
• Experience with procedures including suturing and drainage of abscesses.
• Experience with reading diagnostic studies including x-rays and EKGs.
• BLS certification (we will provide this if needed).
• Experience in Urgent Care, Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, evaluate, and implement high quality medical care with appropriate resource management to patients, both adults and children in cooperation with center physicians.
• Adheres to Prisma Health Urgent Care service and courtesy standards to deliver patient satisfaction.
• Provides patient care within the clinical area with applicable policies.
• Documents services rendered and maintains complete records.
• Completes necessary documentation and communicates for appropriate reimbursement.
• Participates in meetings/activities to support urgent care operations.
• Maintains certifications (BLS, ACLS, ATLS, PALS or NALS) and any required specialty training.
• Reports to Regional VP of Clinical Operations and/or ACOD.
