Job summary

Colonial Healthcare, joined Optum in 2024, is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our urgent care team in Columbia, SC. You will provide direct patient care across urgent conditions, perform procedures, and develop treatment plans within a collaborative, diverse environment.

Open 7 days; two SC locations, Sumter and Manning; rotating shifts with travel between sites. We offer comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Master's in PA or NP from an accredited program.
• Active SC license (or able to obtain before start).
• Active DEA license without restrictions.
• ACLS and BLS certification obtainable within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for urgent medical conditions.
• Perform minor procedures and interpret diagnostic tests.
• Develop and implement patient management plans and document progress.
• Prescribe medications and refer to specialists when needed.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure seamless care.
• Document encounters in the EMR accurately and timely.
• Participate in quality improvement and clinic operations.
