Job summary

Colonial Healthcare, part of Optum, is seeking an Urgent Care Physician to provide high-quality, patient-centered care across Sumter and Manning, South Carolina. Open 7 days a week with rotating shifts, you’ll join a clinician-led team that values collaboration and patient outcomes.

You’ll work with APPs and care teams, perform procedures, and coordinate with specialists while maintaining EMR documentation and contributing to quality initiatives. Sign-on bonus is available.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board certification in Emergency, Family or Internal Medicine.
• Active SC medical license or ability to obtain.
• Active DEA license.
• ACLS and BLS certification within 90 days of employment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose and treat a wide range of non-emergent illnesses and injuries.
• Perform minor procedures and interpret diagnostic testing.
• Develop treatment plans and follow-up recommendations.
• Prescribe medications and therapies as appropriate.
• Coordinate care with specialists and other providers.
• Collaborate with APPs and clinical care teams.
• Maintain timely and accurate EMR documentation.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical best practices.
• Support provider onboarding, education, and clinical operations when needed.
