Job summary

Colonial Healthcare, joined Optum in 2024, seeks a NP or PA to join our team in Columbia, SC. You will provide direct patient care for urgent conditions and perform procedures while collaborating with the care team in a fast-paced clinic environment.

As part of Optum Care Delivery, you’ll have support from a global organization and opportunities for professional growth, with rotating shifts between Sumter and Manning and a strong focus on quality and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner from an accredited program.
• Active SC license (or ability to obtain prior to start).
• Active DEA license with no restrictions.
• Ability to obtain ACLS & BLS certification within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for a wide range of urgent medical conditions.
• Perform minor procedures and interpret diagnostic tests.
• Develop and implement patient management plans and records.
• Prescribe medications as appropriate and refer to specialists as needed.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure seamless patient care.
• Document patient encounters in the electronic medical record.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical best practices.
