Job summary

American Family Care (AFC) is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our urgent care team. You will provide high-quality patient care, manage acute conditions, and perform procedures in a fast-paced clinic setting.

You’ll work with a collaborative clinical team, benefit from competitive base pay plus bonuses, and have access to strong support for professional growth while serving communities across multiple states. BLS certification required or obtained during onboarding.

Qualifications

• Active state license as NP or PA.
• 2+ years in urgent care, family medicine, or emergency care.
• BLS certified or must obtain during onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients in an urgent care setting.
• Manage acute conditions, infections, and injuries.
• Perform minor procedures such as suturing, splinting, and incision & drainage.
• Conduct comprehensive physicals including DOT and employment exams.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, X-rays, EKGs).
• Counsel patients on care plans and preventive health strategies.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and collaborate with supervising physicians.
