American Family Care (AFC) is hiring part-time Advanced Practice Providers (NPs and/or PAs) for urgent care in Elizabeth, NJ. Centers operate 8am–8pm on weekdays and 8am–5pm on weekends, offering walk-in care for acute illnesses and injuries with on-site x-ray and lab capabilities.

Responsibilities include delivering high-quality care, supervising clinical staff, and maintaining timely charting in a fast-paced environment. AFC covers malpractice insurance; compensation is competitive hourly rate.

Formación

• NJ medical license for PA or NP, NJ C.D.S. card and Federal D.E.A. license.
• Board-certification.
• ACLS and DOT certifications.
• Prior urgent care experience.
• Familiarity with occupational medicine.
• Comfort and experience treating patients of all ages from pediatrics to geriatrics.
• Clinical ability to suture lacerations, drain abscesses, set minor fractures, and read x-rays.
• Clean medical malpractice record.
• Effective and compassionate communicator with staff, patients, and family.
• Willingness to mentor clinical staff.
• Highly professional appearance and attitude.
• Able to multi-task effectively and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Willing to work 12-hr weekday and 9-hr weekend shifts, and
• High-energy individual with a positive attitude who is passionate about patient care.

Responsabilidades

• Advanced Practice Providers deliver high quality medical care to urgent care and occupational medicine patients.
• Actively manage all aspects of patient care while on-shift.
• Supervise and direct the center’s other clinical staff.
• Ensure charts are completed in a timely manner and adhere to policies.
