Job summary

Prisma Health Urgent Care in Simpsonville, SC is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our on-site team. You will deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care for both adults and children, while collaborating with center physicians and staff to ensure exceptional service.

The role emphasizes flexible scheduling (3‑day/12‑hour shifts for full-time), comprehensive benefits, malpractice tail coverage, and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Current and valid license to practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C or FNP-BC) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) in SC
• Advanced degree from an accredited NP or PA program
• Current DEA registration
• Experience with suturing and drainage of abscesses
• Reading diagnostic studies including x-rays and EKGs
• BLS certification (provided if needed)
• Credentialing eligibility with WellStreet Urgent Care
• Urgent care, family medicine or emergency medicine experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Plan, evaluate, and implement high quality medical care with appropriate resource management for adults and children
• Deliver courteous, patient‑centered care and ensure high patient satisfaction
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively for reimbursement
• Participate in meetings and operations support of the urgent care
• Maintain required certifications (BLS, ACLS, ATLS, PALS, or NALS) as needed
• Report to Regional VP of Clinical Operations or ACOD and support center teams
