Job summary

GoHealth Urgent Care in Indianapolis is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide urgent care services for both pediatric and adult patients. You will work independently or with a physician, assess and treat acute conditions, and perform minor procedures such as suturing and casting.

This on-site role involves vaccine administration and EMR documentation. The position requires NP licensure with national certification (AANP/ANCC) and 1 year of Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of full-time NP/PA experience in Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine.
• Experience treating both pediatric and adult patients.
• Proficient in minor procedures such as suturing, splinting, and casting.
• Proficient in preliminary reads of EKGs and X-rays.
• Master’s degree in Nursing (required).
• National NP certification (AANP or ANCC) (required).

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical exams and review patient histories.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging.
• Diagnose conditions and prescribe appropriate treatments.
• Perform minor procedures including suturing, splinting, casting.
• Document encounters and treatment plans in the EMR.
• Educate patients on care and prevention; administer vaccines.
• Work scheduled shifts of 4, 8, or 12 hours.
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams as needed.
