Job summary

GoHealth Urgent Care in Central Indiana seeks a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to float across urgent care sites. You’ll provide care for patients of all ages, from sore throats to minor injuries, working independently or with a physician.

The role covers exams, ordering tests, diagnosing, prescribing treatments, minor procedures (suturing, splinting), EMR documentation, vaccinations, and patient education. Required: 1 year full-time NP/PA in urgent care or emergency medicine, and national NP

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of full-time NP/PA experience in Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine.
• Experience treating both pediatric and adult patients.
• Proficient in performing minor procedures (suturing, splinting, casting).
• Proficient in preliminary reads of EKGs and X-rays.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical exams and review patient histories.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging.
• Diagnose conditions and prescribe treatments.
• Perform minor procedures including suturing, splinting, and casting.
• Document encounters and treatment plans in the EMR.
• Educate and counsel patients on care and prevention; administer vaccines.
