Job summary

GoHealth Urgent Care partners with Community Health Network to deliver high-quality urgent care across Central Indiana. The Nurse Practitioner Float provides a broad range of clinical services for patients of all ages, treating acute episodic conditions and coordinating care with physicians as needed.

The role requires a Master’s in Nursing, national NP certification, and at least 1 year of Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of full-time experience as NP/PA in Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine.
• Experience treating both pediatric and adult populations.
• Comfortable performing minor procedures including suturing, casting, and splinting.
• Proficient in preliminary reads of EKGs and X-rays.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical exams and review patient medical histories.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging.
• Diagnose conditions and prescribe appropriate treatments or medications.
• Perform minor procedures including suturing, splinting, and casting.
• Document patient encounters and treatment plans in the EMR.
• Educate and counsel patients on care and prevention.
• Administer vaccinations and refer patients to specialists as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
