Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• 2 years’ experience preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance, and workers' comp billing.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient information.
• Ability to work well with others and contribute to a team.
• Detail-oriented with accurate record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Telephone and front desk reception: answer phones, greet patients, verify insurance, collect co-pays and manage charts.
• Patient sign-in and payment verification: input demographics, register in EMR, confirm payments.
• Administrative support: issue receipts, respond to record requests, prepare forms.
• Charts management: create, file, and retrieve medical records as needed.
• Miscellaneous duties: maintain a clean, organized waiting area during business hours.
