Job summary

GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking a Medical Assistant to support doctors, radiologic technologists, and patients with a focus on efficient patient care and a seamless experience. You will help with patient registration, exams, and front-desk tasks while upholding our values of collaboration and accountability.

The role offers a minimum rate of $17/hour with monthly incentive pay based on performance; sign-on bonus up to $2,000 for eligible applicants.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year MA experience in hospital, primary care, ED, or urgent care.
• Certifications within 12 months: CCMA, CMA, RMA, NCMA, NRCMA.
• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing, LPN or LVN at hire or EMT/Paramedic certifications.
• CPOE certification within 2 weeks if MA certification not obtained at hire.
• BLS required at hire.
• Knowledge of medical office management systems.
• Excellent time management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and verify insurance eligibility.
• Schedule appointments and process co-pays.
• Coordinate referrals to specialists.
• Answer patient questions and inform on status.
• Prepare patients for examination and record medical history.
• Perform basic vital signs and point-of-care testing.
• Stock supplies and maintain exam rooms.
• Maintain medical records and scan charts.
• Open/close duties and cash handling.
• Follow QA/QC and equipment maintenance procedures.
