Job summary

NextCare Urgent Care is seeking a temporary Medical Assistant for the October–April season, with potential for full-time based on business needs. The role supports providers with exams, vital signs, and direct patient care in a fast-paced, team-oriented clinic.

The ideal candidate will be energetic, customer-friendly, and proficient in EMR/EHR, with experience in front and back-office tasks. Medical Assistant training and relevant certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Completion of an approved Medical Assistant training program.
• National CMA/AMT/CCMA certification options acceptable if non-accredited program completed.

Responsibilities

• Assists provider with exams including patient vitals under supervision.
• Administers medications per policy and safety protocols.
• Performs blood draws.
• May collect urine samples for testing.
• May perform splinting and casting and sports physicals.
• Notifies provider on duty of unusual patient occurrences.
• Proficient in EMR/EHR systems.
• May assist with front office reception as needed.
