Local MD Urgent Care is seeking a Medical Assistant in Palatine, IL to support providers and patients with clinical and administrative tasks. The role focuses on phlebotomy, patient intake, vitals, and charting within regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities include documenting in the EMR, triaging, assisting with procedures, and ensuring infection control and HIPAA compliance. This position is onsite and requires teamwork and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Must work within the scope of license.
• Experience with phlebotomy and lab processes.
• Strong customer service and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations.

Responsabilités

• Triage patients, take vitals, update demographics, and document communications with Providers.
• Assist Providers and perform clinic procedures, documenting in the EMR.
• Complete patient charting within license scope and administer medications as directed.
• Obtain blood samples and other lab specimens; process lab items per policy.
• Prepare patient rooms, assist with exams, and maintain infection control between visits.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient data confidentiality in all tasks.
• Maintain EMR accuracy, inventory, and front-office support as needed.
