Qualifications

• Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program preferred.
• 1+ years of Medical Assistant experience under a licensed healthcare supervisor within the last 3 years preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and verify insurance and paperwork.
• Process co-pays and schedule appointments.
• Coordinate referrals to specialists.
• Answer questions and inform patients about their care.
• Prepare patients for examination and record medical history.
• Take vital signs and perform basic tests as needed.
• Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and reception area.
• Document and manage medical records and charts.
