Qualifications

• Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program preferred.
• 1+ years of Medical Assistant experience under a licensed healthcare supervisor within the last 3 years preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient registration, secure paperwork and insurance verification.
• Process co-pays and schedule patient appointments.
• Coordinate provider referrals to assigned Specialist.
• Answer patient questions and keep them informed of status.
• Prepare patients for examination and record medical history.
• Perform basic vital signs and escalate to provider as needed.
• Conduct point of care testing (flu, strep, urinalysis, ECG) as needed.
