Qualifications

• Graduate of Medical Assistant Program preferred; 1+ years MA experience under licensed supervisor within the last 3 years preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients, verify insurance and eligibility.
• Process co-pays and schedule appointments.
• Coordinate provider referrals to assigned Specialist.
• Answer patient questions and keep them informed of their status.
• Prepare patients for examination and record medical history; verify purpose of visit; conduct basic vitals.
• Perform point-of-care testing as needed (flu, strep, urinalysis, ECG, HCG).
• Maintain exam rooms, front desk, and reception area; stock supplies.
• Maintain medical records and scan charts to patient files.
• Answer calls and manage daily correspondence; conduct patient follow-ups.
• Perform opening/closing duties including cash handling and end-of-day checks.
• Document daily equipment controls and calibration; maintain QA/QC logs; submit repair tickets.
