Job summary

Truvance GoHealth Urgent Care, LLC is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians, radiologic technologists, and patients across a range of care activities. You will help manage patient care, documentation, and front desk duties in a fast-paced urgent care setting to ensure an effortless patient experience and high-quality care.

Qualifications include a Medical Assistant program and BLS certification with prior experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology strongly preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and collect required paperwork and insurance information.
• Process co-pays and schedule patient appointments.
• Coordinate referrals to specialists and inform patients of status.
• Assist in patient examinations and perform vital signs.
• Assist with point-of-care testing as needed (strep, flu, urinalysis, ECG, HCG).
• Stock exam rooms and maintain supplies and equipment.
• Maintain medical records and scan charts to patient files.
• Answer phones and handle daily correspondence; provide courteous follow-up calls.
• Perform opening and closing duties including cash handling and security.
