AFC Urgent Care Cicero is hiring a Medical Assistant to join our fast-paced team in Cicero, IL. The role supports providers by rooming patients, obtaining vitals and histories, and assisting during examinations and procedures.

You will perform point-of-care testing, phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and other clinical duties within scope. Strong communication and teamwork ensure outstanding patient experiences daily.

Qualifications

• Current CPR/BLS certification required or active CPR training.
• Phlebotomy experience is required.
• Experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or primary care preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; multitasking in fast-paced settings.
• Proficiency with EMR systems and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, record vitals, medical history, and chief complaints.
• Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures.
• Perform point-of-care testing, phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and other duties.
• Assist with X-rays if licensed, maintain room cleanliness and stock.
• Document patient information accurately in EMR and educate on care plans.
• Support front office tasks including registration and insurance verification.
