Job summary

AFC Urgent Care is hiring Medical Assistants for our West Chester and Malvern teams in Pennsylvania. You will work in a busy urgent care setting, welcoming patients and supporting providers throughout exams and treatments.

As a Medical Assistant, you will perform vital signs, specimen collection, phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and clinic tasks while ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care and smooth patient flow.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant certification or relevant clinical training.
• Experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or other fast-paced settings (preferred).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to stay calm, focused, and effective under pressure.
• Excellent communication and a compassionate, patient-first mindset.
• A positive, dependable, team-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and room patients, obtain accurate histories, and record vital signs.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, wound care, testing, and treatments.
• Perform CLIA-waived lab testing, collect and process specimens, and maintain quality control.
• Administer medications, injections, and vaccines under provider supervision.
• Conduct EKGs, point-of-care testing, and other diagnostic support tasks.
• Draw blood for lab testing as ordered.
• Ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and timely.
• Prepare and maintain clean, well-stocked exam rooms.
• Support efficient patient flow in a fast-paced environment.
• Perform drug screenings and provide patient education and discharge instructions.
• Collaborate with providers and teammates to deliver seamless care.
• Follow all infection control, safety, and compliance standards.
