Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant or similar clinical support role.
• Current Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA) and CPR/BLS certification are required.
• Proficiency in venipuncture and blood draws.
• Proficiency in administering injections per provider orders and protocols.
• Ability to perform quality EKGs with proper lead placement.
• Strong patient care skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with medical records documentation (electronic or paper).
• Professional phone etiquette and clear communication with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Greet and room patients; document vitals and histories in the EHR.
• Perform phlebotomy, injections, and EKGs per orders.
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain infection control.
• Support providers during examinations and procedures.
• Manage patient records and documentation of encounters and tests.
• Answer phones and route messages professionally.
• Complete required DOT training for Urine Drug Screens and Breath Alcohol Tests.
