Job summary

GoHealth Urgent Care in Mill Valley, CA seeks an experienced Medical Assistant to support urgent care operations. You will assist with examinations, take vital signs, manage check-in, and prepare specimens for analysis.

Requirements include a High School Diploma, MA program preferred, BLS at hire, and MA certifications (CCMA/CMA/RMA/NCMA/NRCMA) or equivalent nursing credentials; CA MA rules apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Graduate of Medical Assisting Program preferred.
• BLS certification required at time of hire from ARC or AHA.

Responsibilities

• Register patients, verify insurance and collect paperwork.
• Process co-pays and schedule appointments.
• Coordinate referrals and answer patient questions.
• Prepare patients for examination and record medical history.
• Perform point of care testing and escalate critical cases as needed.
• Maintain exam rooms, supplies and medical records.
