Job summary

Live Urgent Care in New Jersey is seeking a Medical Assistant to support fast-paced urgent care clinics. You will assist with patient care, testing, and registration, contributing to a high-quality patient experience.

The role features 12-hour weekday shifts and 8-hour weekend shifts, plus opportunities to earn attendance and travel bonuses and an Employee of the Month recognition. Training and growth are available in a supportive team setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; certified Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Current certification as a Medical Assistant.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification.
• Proven experience in a medical setting; Urgent Care experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver patient-focused care.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to examination rooms and document medical histories.
• Measure vital signs and perform basic specimen collection.
• Administer medications as directed by a provider within clinic protocols.
• Greet patients, verify insurance information, and assist with registration.
• Perform basic laboratory testing and specimen handling (e.g., urinalysis, blood draws, COVID-19 swabs).
• Maintain clean, stocked examination rooms and support clinic readiness.
• Collaborate with providers and staff to ensure efficient operations and positive patient experiences.
