Job summary

Carbon Health Technologies Inc in New Jersey is seeking a Per Diem Urgent Care Medical Assistant to join our fast-paced clinical team. You will assist physicians and NPs, triage patients, take histories, and perform lab work to support urgent care patients.

You will also perform injections, venipuncture, prepare exam rooms, manage supplies, and help schedule tests while maintaining efficient patient flow and safety. This role requires strong communication and the ability to work 12-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CMA certification from an accredited program required.
• BLS certification a plus.
• DOT drug screen and DOT BAT certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and maintain professional interpersonal communication.
• Perform selected nursing and administrative duties.
• Provide direct patient care as directed by clinician.
• Perform lab tests as directed.
• Prepare patients for examination and take histories and vitals.
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain supplies.
• Administer injections and dressings; distribute medications.
• Venipuncture as required.
• Assist with minor surgeries and tests scheduling.
• Cross-train as receptionist to support patient workflow.
