Job summary

Lakeside Community Healthcare network in West Covina, CA is seeking a Medical Assistant for a fully onsite Urgent Care role. You will check in/out patients, record vitals, log information into NexGen EMR, and verify insurance while supporting front desk tasks.

You will work 12-hour shifts, three days per week including weekends, with a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities to grow within a community-focused healthcare team.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Experience with NexGen (EMR System).
• Proficiency in appointment scheduling and patient care.
• Ability to perform back office duties.
• Willingness to work 12-hour shifts as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Check in and check out patients.
• Take and record patient vitals.
• Log information into the EMR/EHR system (NexGen).
• Verify patient insurance.
• Cover the front desk during receptionist's lunch breaks.
• Assist with appointment scheduling.
• Perform back office and some front office responsibilities.
