Job summary

QUICK SOLVE MEDICAL URGENT CARE in Corona, NY is seeking a certified Medical Assistant to join a community-focused urgent care team. The role includes registering patients, collecting medical and insurance information, taking histories, performing phlebotomy, and assisting providers during exams in a bilingual English/Spanish environment.

You will work in person with a schedule including full-time or part-time options, and benefits like 401(k), PTO, and disability coverage.

Qualifications

• Must be Certified Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA).
• Phlebotomy Certificate is required.
• EKG Certification is required.
• BLS Certification is required.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience.
• Must be able to commute to or relocate to Corona, NY 11368 before start date.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and collect medical and insurance information.
• Room patients, escort to exam rooms, and prepare for examination.
• Record and document vital signs.
• Take patient histories and enter documentation into the EMR system.
• Assist providers during exams and clinical procedures.
• Perform phlebotomy and blood draws.
• Conduct point-of-care testing (urinalysis, rapid strep, pregnancy tests).
• Order lab tests and follow up on results.
• Bridge communication between providers and patients as a Spanish interpreter.
• Maintain sterilization and readiness of medical equipment.
• Provide patient education and discharge instructions.
• Uphold HIPAA compliance and protect patient confidentiality.
