Job summary

Prisma Health Urgent Care in Myrtle Beach, SC is seeking a Clinical Services Representative/Medical Assistant to join our fast-paced team. You will prepare patients, take vital signs, collect specimens, administer injections, document in EPIC, and support daily clinic operations with a patient-centered approach.

Qualifications

• Certification as Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) or CMA/RMA equivalent.
• 1+ year of healthcare experience preferred (urgent care or ER a plus).
• Proficiency with venipuncture, injections and clinical procedures.
• Experience using EMR software (EPIC preferred).

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations and treatments.
• Perform triage and take vital signs.
• Document patient history in EMR in a timely manner.
• Collect routine lab specimens (blood, urine, oral swabs).
• Administer medications and injections (IM, SC, ID).
• Start IVs, place catheters, and perform splinting when needed.
• Support occupational medicine services and drug screening.
• Ensure HIPAA/OSHA compliance and maintain quality assurance.
