Prisma Health Urgent Care in Murrells Inlet, SC is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join a fast-paced clinic team. You will support patient care, perform triage, vital signs, lab specimen collection, and basic procedures in a high-energy environment.

The role offers full-time hours on-site with 3-day/12-hour shifts (8 AM–8 PM), competitive pay and benefits, PTO, 401K with company match, and opportunities for professional growth. Training provided for new graduates.

Qualifikationen

• Must be certified or registered as a Medical Assistant through an accredited organization (e.g., AMT for RMA/NHA or AAMA for CMA).
• 1+ year of healthcare experience preferred (urgent care or ER a plus); willing to train outstanding new graduates.
• Proficiency in venipuncture and injections and clinical procedures.
• Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software; EPIC preferred.
• Flexible and team-oriented professional.

Aufgaben

• Prepare patients for examinations and treatments, ensuring comfort and informed consent.
• Perform triage and take vital signs accurately.
• Document detailed patient history in the EMR in a timely manner.
• Collect routine lab specimens (blood, urine, oral swabs).
• Administer medications and injections (IM, subcutaneous, intradermal).
• Initiate IVs, place catheters, and perform splinting when needed.
• Support occupational medicine services, including drug screening and audiograms.
