Prisma Health Urgent Care in Bluffton is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our clinical team. You will provide hands-on patient care, assist with examinations, and support clinic operations in a fast-paced environment.

This role requires certification as a Medical Assistant, 1+ year healthcare experience (urgent care or ER a plus), and proficiency with EMR systems, preferably EPIC. Flexible 12-hour shifts, weekends, and holidays included.

Qualifications

• Certification as Medical Assistant (AMT RMA/NHA or AAMA CMA) required.
• 1+ year healthcare experience preferred; urgent care/ER a plus; training available for new graduates.

Responsabilités

• Prepare patients for examinations and treatments; ensure comfort and information.
• Perform triage and take vital signs accurately.
• Document patient history in EMR promptly.
• Collect routine lab specimens (blood, urine, oral swabs).
• Administer medications and injections (IM, Subcutaneous, intradermal).
• Start IVs, place catheters, perform splinting when needed.
• Support occupational medicine services and compliance with HIPAA/OSHA.
