Job summary

Prisma Health Urgent Care in Aiken, SC is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care in a fast-paced clinic. The role focuses on patient preparation, triage, vital signs, lab specimen collection, injections, and documentation in EPIC EMR.

You will work 12-hour shifts, 3-day/12-hour schedule, with no overnights, and enjoy benefits, PTO, 401K, and professional development opportunities. Certification as Medical Assistant is required or eligible.

Qualifications

• Certification: Medical Assistant, registered or certified by a recognized body.
• 1+ year healthcare experience preferred; urgent care/ER a plus.
• Proficiency in venipuncture, injections, and basic clinical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations and treatments.
• Perform triage and obtain vital signs.
• Document patient history in EMR in a timely manner.
• Collect routine lab specimens and administer injections.
• Start IVs, place catheters, and assist with procedures.
• Ensure HIPAA and OSHA compliance and maintain quality care.
