VCA Animal Hospitals Urgent Care – Northwest San Antonio is seeking a full-time Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our Urgent Care department. You will support doctors and technicians in a fast-paced setting, performing in-hospital diagnostics, imaging, and treatments with a focus on providing outstanding patient and client care.

Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate. Texas LVT or eligibility within 6 months is required.

Qualifikationen

• Licensed Veterinary Technician in Texas or eligible to become LVT within 6 months.
• Ability to perform in-hospital diagnostics and radiography.
• Experience obtaining lab samples and performing lab diagnostics.

Aufgaben

• Collect patient histories and review referral medical records.
• Perform physical exams and report results to doctor.
• Place and maintain IV catheters.
• Perform radiographs and other diagnostic imaging as ordered.
• Obtain laboratory samples via venipuncture, cystocentesis, and fecal collection.
• Perform in-hospital lab diagnostics including fecals, urinalysis, differentials, and cytologies.
• Process lab samples using in-hospital equipment.
• Maintain medical records and client invoices (PVL).
• Maintain a clean work environment and follow infection control protocols.
