Job summary

Cedars-Sinai in Beverly Hills, CA, seeks a Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our renowned Medical Group. You will perform nursing intake, prepare patients and records, and coordinate medications under the guidance of providers.

You will support quality patient care, maintain clinical standards, and contribute to a dynamic, inclusive environment in one of Southern California’s leading health systems. Prior LVN experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Vocational Nurse program.
• CA LVN license required.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association and/or the American Red Cross required.
• IV/BW certification required.
• 1+ years LVN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sets up exam room/procedure rooms appropriately based on patient visit needs.
• Performs initial nursing intake and prepares patients for examination.
• Prepares patients for examination by reviewing current medications and documents in the medical record.
• Prepares medical chart and records patient information needed to support visit reason (vital signs, visit reason).
• Coordinates prescribed medications, injections, or IV medications as advised by the provider.
• Provides basic patient care and treatments, including vitals, diagnostic tests, phlebotomy, and specimen collection as directed.
• Observes patient, documents changes, and reports to the provider for appropriate care actions.
• Evaluates nursing interventions within LVN scope of practice.
• Answers patient and physician messages with provider input.
• Advocates for patients and utilizes resources to support patient care.
• Performs quality assurance and quality control to maintain clinical compliance.
