Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas Urgent Care in Springfield, TN is seeking experienced Medical Receptionists to join our team. You will greet patients, activate files and support both patients and clinical staff.

The role features a full-time rotating 36-40 hour week, including 12-hour weekday shifts and every-other weekend, with PRN opportunities. Prior medical office experience and EMR familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Knowledge of basic computer software and the ability to learn electronic medical records.
• Prior experience in a medical office setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors and guide them through registration.
• Answer multi-line phones, file, fax, scan and complete daily callbacks.
• Check in/out patients, assist clinical staff and close office shifts.
• Collect insurance information, verify demographics, process payments and balances.
• Maintain a neat, professional environment and adhere to safety procedures.
